January 20, 2003  -  War with Iraq

What's worse than arrogant people?  Arrogant people who are also ignorant!  With all the organized anti-war protests around the world last weekend, we all saw a lot of that!  What a load of crap.  If it's not obvious to you why I say that, lemme explain it to you.
BTW, sorry if I ramble while I rant, but there are a lot of things on my mind, and when I say one thing, that brings up explanations and other points.  I hope you can follow me okay...
Living in la-la Land
I heard lots of silly soundbytes from anti-war protesters.  One especially funny one was "I don't believe in war, so I came to protest war with Iraq".  Sorry jackass, whether you believe in war or not, IT IS REAL!  Ask the people of Kuwait if war is real.  War has been a fact of life to one extent or another for every human who's ever lived.  And unfortunately, it's gonna continue to be a fact of life because we're never gonna live in a perfect world... there will always be something to fight about.  Everybody agrees that war is bad, but it's much worse when the bad guys are kicking your ass.
Singer Sheryl Crow said "The best way to solve problems is to not have enemies."  That kinda shallow logic is to typical of Liberals.  It sounds good, but it's 100% nonsense.  Hey Sheryl, what if a bad guy picks to be enemies with you... what then?  Evil people absolutely love people who think like Sheryl because they're such easy victims!
And then you have the silly people marching around with flowers stuck into the barrels of toy guns.  Or the people who sing ridiculous songs.  Cute... but that's not doing anything.  Liberals love to make a big show of caring, but when it comes down to it, they never ever actually do much to make the world a better place.  Most of them are cowards, hypocrites, and fools.
The easy explanation
The most common anti-war reason is that America just wants Iraq's oil.  Nope.  Iraq's oil hasn't been a factor for a long, long time, and we've been okay without it.  Right now where I live, gas in the USA costs less than 35 cents a liter (about $1.38 a gallon), and that's more expensive than usual.  If you live anywhere else in the world, you know that's much cheaper than what you pay.  And if you live in the USA and don't know anything about gas prices in other countries, our prices are 1/2 to 1/5!  On top of all that, America has and uses more cars than anybody else.   America is not in desperate need of more oil.  And to further those facts, if the US wanted Iraq's oil, why didn't they take it 12 years ago?  America didn't take Kuwait's oil either.  America could easily have done that, but they didn't... America did exactly what it said it was gonna do.  Saying that the USA is just in it for the oil is an easy explanation for people who are looking for any reason to oppose the USA.
Who are the protesters?
If you looked at any lists of organizations involved in the protests, they're all communist to one extent or another.  And they're the same exact people who show up any every protest that's anti-American (the model of capitalism).  They don't give a damn about Iraq, the environment, or any of that other stuff... they just want to destroy the USA first and foremost.  99% of the protesters aren't normal everyday people like you and me... they're people with a totally different agenda.
Another Vietnam
Anti-war people also like to call every American military action "the next Vietnam".  And it never is.  Why would a war with Iraq be difficult?   It was easy 12 years ago, and right now they're not nearly as strong as they were then. Saying it will be "Another Vietnam" is just a baseless scare tactic.
Someday I'll write a huge rant about Liberalism and why I despise it SO much, but lemme give you a little something to think about in the meantime.   Liberals (so-called environmentalists, feminists, pacifists, etc.) ALWAYS try to scare the hell out of you.  Their predictions are always disaster.  Why?    Well because when you're scared, you become desperate, and when you're desperate, you'll do almost anything they want you to do.
History
Another example of the extreme ignorance of these protesters is that they obviously don't know history (or they refuse to see it).  History shows that Saddam is nothing but evil.  It's not a case one opinion vs. another opinion... he's downright evil in every sense of the word!   He's a killer, a liar, a cheater, a deceiver, etc.  He has never ever been a good guy.  However, to the anti-war protesters, President Bush is the evil one.  Huh?!  Although wanting to avoid war may be a naive cause, it's a righteous cause.  But why are they mixing up the facts?  Some are incredibly stupid and ignorant, but for many others, there are obviously other motives behind their protests.
And besides the immediate history, there are countless examples of situations like this in past history.  Hitler is the most obvious candidate.  I'm not gonna go over all the details here (go look it up for yourself if you don't know), but the way people are appeasing Hussein is exactly what people did with Hitler... and look where that ended up!  Throughout history, situations with dictators have ended up bad 9 out of 10 time.  Time and time again it's been proven that evil must be defeated, or it will grow.  You cannot ignore evil and hope it'll turn good!  The forces of good in the world must defeat evil.
The Real Reasons for War  (History Part 2)
First of all, you have to realize that only President Bush and a very few select others know all the details.  Neither you, nor I, nor the media have even half the facts.  So as much as we wanna talk about it, it's ultimately worthless because we don't know what we're talking about!  You know anybody that acts like a know-it-all is full of crap.  I definitely don't know it all, but still I've got a few ideas about why America is really getting ready for a war...
Again we have to look at history.  We've seen situations almost exactly like this before... right before World War I, and World War II.  America tried to stay out of that, but the rest of the world dragged us into the mess they made.  It wasn't America's problem, but no matter how hard we tried to escape it, it became America's problem.  America knows that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  I think President Bush really is trying to cut out the cancer before it can spread.
The threat of America
These protesters really seem terrified of the USA, but America has fought and sacrificed for good causes time and time again!  America has never been perfect, but they've done a lot to make this world a better place.  So why are they scared?  They're not scared... they're jealous.  They don't wanna believe that America has worked hard and sacrificed to get what it's got.  When you're on top, everybody below you is trying to knock you off and take your place.  When you're on top, everybody below you see you as a threat.
Why I'm also against war!
Surprised to hear me say that?  It's true.  I don't wanna have anything to do with all that's going on.  It's all bullshit.  America is damned if they help, and they're damned if they ignore it.  Personally, I would rather America stayed out of all this and let the idiots in the Middle East face the consequences.  And the same goes for the situation in North Korea.  The other nations of the world need to learn responsibility and take care of themselves for once.  I'd like to tell the world to go F*** Off!   America's in trouble either way, so why should we sacrifice anything just to end up in the same old mess?  They don't want America's help?  They don't deserve America's help!
